The Program
Benevolence Farm operates comprehensive programming and an innovative social-enterprise that enables our residents grow food, nourish themselves and foster community.
Residents will be able to explore career paths as they carry out the operations of a farm business, gaining experience in finance, marketing, customer service, entrepreneurship, and small business skills. The program offers immediate engagement in productive, healthy activity and gainful employment.

Eligibility
To be eligible for admission to the residential program at Benevolence Farm:
- Must be a self-identifying woman transitioning to society from prison
- Minimum 1 year of incarceration. (However, prefer applicants who have served longer sentences)
- Must agree to participate for a minimum of 6 months but no longer than 24 months
- Must be willing and motivated to make healthy life changes and develop leadership skills
- Must be willing and able to contribute to a minimum of 8 hours per week of farm work
- Must be willing to contribute to the farm, property and household responsibilities
- Must understand/agree that children, family, loved ones may not stay the night or live with resident
- Must agree to contribute a percentage of monthly stipend for household expenditures
