In 2021, Benevolence Farm partnered with the Human Kindness Foundation to deliver high-quality soap to incarcerated people during the height of the pandemic. Our generous supporters purchased over 700 bars of soap that not only helped keep infections at bay but also invested in the wages of the women who make the soap.
Unfortunately, the logistics of guaranteeing our soap get into the hands of people who need it prove increasingly difficult in prisons across the country. After reflection and discussion with our partners, we are pivoting our project.
The Benevolence Farm Welcome Home Soap Project partners with local reentry councils and organizations to provide free high-quality soap to people returning home across the state of North Carolina. We are excited to continue this project for as long as it is needed.
Purchase a bar of soap today to welcome somebody home and invest in the living wages of our soap makers.
