Benevolence Farm is a social enterprise and reentry program in Alamance County, North
Carolina, whose mission is to cultivate leadership, promote sustainable livelihoods, and reap structural change with individuals impacted by the criminal legal system in North Carolina.
Who We’re Looking For
We welcome individuals of all backgrounds and identities, and we’re especially seeking
candidates with experience or interest in:
- Lived experience with incarceration or justice-involvement
- Legal expertise or advocacy
- Nonprofit governance
- Fundraising, donor development, or grant writing
- Marketing, PR, or communications
- Social enterprise or small business development
- Rural community engagement
- Racial and gender justice
Board Member Commitments
- Attend monthly board meetings (virtual or in-person)
- Serve a 2-year term (renewable)
- Participate in at least one committee
- Support fundraising efforts through meaningful contributions and relationship building
- Act as an ambassador for Benevolence Farm’s mission and values
