We believe there is no such thing as a “small win.” Everyone deserves a little celebration. Here are the latest Benevolence Farm resident accomplishments.
- NG finally got his drivers’ license. This milestone was hard-earned. After multiple court appearances to clear past tickets and saving up to pay down outstanding fines & fees blocking his license, NG finally made his way to the DMV and walked away with that valuable plastic rectangle. 🪪
- CH — who recently joined us at our 307 House in Burlington — independently secured her own job just days after arriving. 💰
- CR successfully completed her substance use recovery program and graduated with a certificate and bouquet of flowers. 💐
- CD, 307 House resident, received a promotion at her job. ⤴️
- AS will join us next week as our first trans woman in our residential program. She joins our first trans man who arrived at the Farm in February. We are excited to create an open and affirming reentry home for the LGBTQ+ community, especially given the transphobic political environment we find ourselves in. 🏳️⚧️
- CD moved into her very own apartment after nearly a year and a half at our 307 House location. 🔑
- Vocational Rehab notified RT that they could help her get her GED for free. They will also provide extra support like tutoring to ensure she completes the program successfully. 🎓
- DE scheduled virtual tutoring sessions with a volunteer who answered our call for a math tutor. ➕➗
