Summer 2024: Our Wins

We believe there is no such thing as a “small win.” Everyone deserves a little celebration. Here are the latest Benevolence Farm accomplishments.

  • LA is moving down the street from our Burlington house into her own duplex apartment. We’re happy to be her neighbor. 🏡
  • HW received a 2007 Honda Civic through our partnership with Wheels4Hope. 🚗
  • RB completed probation and moved back to Virginia to be closer to her family.
  • HW received her peer support certificate.
  • CR successfully budgeted her expenses this month.
  • DE navigated the healthcare system and successfully received surgery to repair ligaments in her foot.
  • Linda, now a BF alumna, shared her story at the North Carolina People’s Convening on Fines & Fees. She brought down the house with her powerful storytelling of how her driver’s license suspension for failure to pay fines & fees hindered her ability to successfully reenter after prison.
