MLK Weekend & Menstrual Product Drive

Thank you to the North Park Family at Mayco Bigelow Center for allowing us to table as a community resource at this week’s Dr. King celebrations. Mona and KP were on-site talking to attendees about our housing work and Bonding Families, the support group Mona started for families affected by incarceration. The Burlington Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority also presented us with thousands of menstrual products for the formerly incarcerated people we serve. They’ve covered the need for all of 2024. Thank you to the Deltas for not only coordinating this drive, but using this opportunity to educate the community about the dire need for meaningful menstrual product access in prisons and jails.

To learn more about this campaign, check out the Burlington Alumnae Chapter’s instagram here.
